# Dois-je encore poncer les joints avant de mettre en couleur ?
## S’il y a présence de bavures, poncez-les une fois que la seconde couche de produit de jointoiement a complètement séché.
Utilisez pour ce faire la [gaze à poncer](https://gyproc.be/fr/les-produits/gaze-a-poncer) spéciale Gyproc® et non pas du papier abrasif. Limitez le ponçage au strict minimum et ne poncez que la surface du joint afin d’éviter d’endommager le carton. N’oubliez surtout pas d’éliminer les poussières générées par le ponçage une fois celui-ci terminé. Utilisez un chiffon humide pour éliminer les poussières et les particules de plâtre générées par le ponçage.
